Tropical Storm Bavi (09W) Visitor Advisory

The Guam Travel & Tourism Association (GTTA) is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Bavi (09W) in coordination with the Government of Guam, the National Weather Service, Guam Homeland Security, and our tourism industry partners.

While there are currently no Tropical Storm or Typhoon Watches or Warnings in effect for Guam, the storm is forecast to strengthen as it approaches the Mariana Islands over the coming days. Visitors are encouraged to remain informed and begin making basic preparations.

What Visitors Should Know

As weather conditions change, hotels, tour operators, transportation providers, restaurants, and attractions may adjust their operating schedules or temporarily suspend services to ensure the safety of guests and employees.

If you have booked a tour or activity:

  • Please check your email regularly for updates.
  • Monitor your hotel's announcements and instructions.
  • Visit the tour operator's website or contact them directly if you have questions.
  • Most Refunds or rescheduling will be provided in accordance with each operator's cancellation policy if services are cancelled due to weather.

How You Can Prepare

We encourage all visitors to:

  • Stay informed by following official weather updates.
  • Keep your mobile phone and portable batteries fully charged.
  • Have your passport, travel documents, medications, and essential items readily available.
  • Follow instructions provided by your hotel and local authorities.
